The college was approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu by G.O.No.296 dated 10th July 2000. Affiliation was granted by the University of Madras for the following Under Graduate courses:

The academic year consists of two semesters. The degree will be awarded by the University of Madras, subject to the successful completion of the academic requirements including passing the University Examinations prescribed for the course. The medium of instruction is English and the syllabi for the courses are those prescribed by the University of Madras.
The students are encouraged to go beyond the purview of their University syllabi and facilities are given to widen their intellectual horizon. As a result, graduates from this college steering towards success are much sought after by various reputed companies.
Examination
Semester pattern is followed. Each year has 2 semesters with University Examinations in November and April. There are 6 semesters for the U.G course. Unit tests are conducted regularly for continuous Internal Assessment.
